The concept of Five Blessings embodies a lifelong pursuit of happiness — longevity, wealth, health and peace, virtue, and a serene passing at the end of life — representing the ideal, complete life.
For this special edition, Parker collaborated with renowned Chinese calligrapher Xu Gaoru (courtesy name Qianfu, art name Tianmen Shanren). Master Xu specially created 18 unique “福” (Fu – Blessing) characters in various calligraphic styles for the Duofold Limited Edition, including Small Seal Script, Clerical Script, Cursive Script, Regular Script, and Running Script.
Cap: The finial is inlaid with a “福” emblem, echoing the design on the barrel and nib. Limited to 1,388 pieces worldwide, each pen is individually numbered on the barrel end.
Nib: Crafted from a single piece of 18K gold and engraved with the “福” character, symbolizing the arrival of blessings (a wordplay in Chinese when “Fu” is upside down).
Trim: Clip, finial, cap ring, and end ring are plated in 23.3K gold.
Barrel: Made of brass with glossy grey lacquer finish, laser-engraved with the 18 unique “福” characters handwritten by Master Xu. Each character differs in style, offering rich visual appeal.
