Important Notes for New Owners

Factory Testing: Lamy dip-tests every nib with blue ink at the factory to guarantee quality. You may find traces of residue; this confirms your pen has been tested and is functional. If you plan to use a light-colored ink initially, we recommend flushing the pen with clean water first to ensure the color remains pure.
Protection Ring: All new Lamy pens come with a brown cardboard spacer (protection ring) on the barrel. This prevents the cartridge from being punctured during transit. Please remove this ring before your first use so the pen can be fully assembled for writing.
