The brand-new collection "Traditional Lacquer Art 'Nawate'" features a unique ridged cap design, perfectly blending traditional craftsmanship with modern functional aesthetics. The pen body base is finished with a distinctively textured smoked silver foil, exuding a slightly Western-influenced elegant atmosphere. Gold foil is meticulously scattered over it and delicately layered with raw urushi lacquer, creating a deep and visually rich tension.

This masterpiece comes from "Urushi Koubou Yoshida," a third-generation lacquer workshop in Aizu-Wakamatsu. Master craftsman Toru Yoshida breaks away from the conventional framework of traditional Aizu lacquerware, tailoring the optimal shape and techniques specifically for the writing experience and ergonomics of a fountain pen. The three-dimensional ridges extending along the cap not only provide a smooth, elongated visual effect, but also offer exceptional fingertip leverage and stability during daily capping and uncapping, perfectly combining craft aesthetics with practicality.

• The Century-Old Heritage of Aizu Lacquerware: Originating from the Aizu region in Fukushima Prefecture, benefiting from the basin's unique humid climate, it became an ideal environment for nurturing top-tier lacquerware. Its industrial history dates back to 1590 (the 18th year of the Tensho era) when Ujisato Gamo entered Aizu. Relying on integrated operations from lacquer tree cultivation to decoration and continuous innovation, Aizu lacquerware was even exported overseas by the late Edo period, becoming a representative traditional craft treasure of Japan.

• The Master Craftsmanship of Toru Yoshida: Born in Aizu-Wakamatsu in 1968, Toru Yoshida joined the family business in 1987, later studying under Senro Sato in Kiso, Nagano. He became independent in 1996 and was certified as a Traditional Craftsman in 2002. He constantly breaks away from established frameworks, exploring the most fitting forms and techniques based on the true practical purposes of vessels and fountain pens.
