Description

Germany MONTBLANC Meisterstück 149 18K Gold Fountain Pen — Artisan Kun-yang Urushi: “Thuja” (崖柏)

This work features a Montblanc black precious resin barrel as the creative base.

The interweaving brown textures on the barrel resemble ancient cypress trees growing amidst lonely peaks and steep cliffs. Under a thousand years of wind, frost, and pressure, the wood fibers have twisted and rotated, creating a flow that is as silky as running water yet full of tension. These distinct layers of brown tones are the growth rings stacked by time—medals of honor left by life’s tenacious growth. Holding this pen, you feel more than just the warmth of urushi; you feel a calm, deep-rooted resilience that remains composed after enduring hardships.

Condition & Craftsmanship:

  • Status: Not brand new. This is a re-crafted urushi piece; all other components function normally.

  • Cap Band: After the lacquer was applied, only one gold ring remains visible; the rest is covered in urushi.

  • Fit: Due to the added thickness of the lacquer, the cap fits more snugly and turns with more resistance.

  • Rarity: A rare and unique 149 urushi modification paired with a classic Montblanc nib.

Specifications:

  • Nib: 18K Gold, F (Fine)

  • Accessories: Tylee Pen Shop box

Please note:

  • Due to the added thickness of the lacquer, the cap fits more tightly and turns with more resistance.

  • Only the fountain pen is for sale; all other items are photographic props.

  • As this is a hand-lacquered pen made with natural materials, there will be slight variations in color and pattern. Individual textures or lacquer lines are normal characteristics of the artisanal process.
